LIZ EARLE Skin Repair Light Moisturiser

Today I would like to complete the reviews of my three step system skin care. As you already know, I use Liz Earle’s cleanser, tonic and moisturizer.
I have to admit that my skin does not react well when I try moisturizers. I have combination/oily skin and sometimes I have acne and a really bad redness. Liz Earle sent me the Skin Repair Light Moisturiser for possible review and I was afraid that all those natural ingredients would irritate my skin- as it happened with other brands.  But I decided to give it a try!
I am using the one for Combination/oilyskin but Liz Earle also offers three additional moisturizers for Normal/Combo, Dry/Sensitive and Very Dry/Mature skin types.
How to use?Gently massage into face and neck morning and evening.
This moisturizer is light, ideal for my oily skin. It gets quickly absorbed into my skin and does not leave any greasy or oily film. It leaves my skin hydrated, nourished, soft but not completely matte. Sometimes I feel it heavy on my T-zone, but I feel that with nearly all the moisturizers.
The Skin repair Light Moisturiser is full of good things;
– borage oil, a rich source of the essential fatty acid GLA, a great anti inflammatory
– Avocado Oil rich in Vitamin E
– Hops extract known for its astringent propierties
– Vitamin E
And, of course, other natural antioxidants that transform this moisturizer to a vitamin cocktail for your skin.
The scent of the lotion is heavy. I can’t really define what’s that smell. I got used to it but it is still heavy and not so pleasant.
The Skin repair Light Moisturiser comes in a airless pump bottle. The dispenser is fantastic! Just one pump is enough for the entire face and neck. So, you don’t waste any of the product!
The quantity you get with just one pump!
Does it really work?Damn yeah! I can see the difference! This lotion really works in harmony with the skin’s natural oils and helps to replace the lost moisture. My skin is healthier, smoother and hydrated. I noticed that as long as I use it, I have less redness, acne and pimples. But, I have to admit that it could be better and not feel heavy at all, not even those few days that I feel it like this.

Prices:
15ml tube- £6.65
50ml pump/tube- £17.60
For best results use the 3 step system, which I also use daily:
  1. Cleanse & Polish
  2. Instant Boost Skin Toner
  3. Repair Moisturiser

Review: Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Toner

When it comes to toners, I don’t really get excited. I have tried a few but I have never noticed any difference. So, I’ve just considered their use as another useless step on my daily skincare routine.
That’ s why I didn’t expect much by Instant Boost Skin Toner. I love Liz Earle’s products but I was sure that this product would disappoint me. What did motivate me to try it? The ingredient list; it is paraben-free, it doesn’t contain alcohol and the main ingredient is Aloe Vera, which has antioxidant properties, moisturizes the skin and gives it a nice fresh feeling.

Instant Boost Skin Toner is liquid, slighter heavier than water, probably because of Aloe Vera.
How to use? Pour a generous amount of product onto a cotton pad and then sweep it over your face and neck in gentle circular movements. Apply daily morning and night.
Once applied it gives a barely tacky feeling on my skin. At first I didn’t like that, but I realized that this feeling disappears instantly and the toner is quickly absorbed. That’s nice because I don’t have to wait to apply my moisturizer.
The first thing I noticed was the floral scent. The smell is quite strong, but pleasant. I don’t really like floral scents, but this one doesn’t bother me at all. It feels so refreshing!
This toner is suitable for all skin types. But does it really work? Oh yeah! Even if I use the toner once a day (and not twice as it is recommended) I can notice the difference. My skin seems healthier, brighter and feels more clean and refreshed. The Instant Boost Skin Toner also soothes my skin and leaves it hydrated.
Thanks to the antioxidants, this toner keeps skin in great condition and the beneficial effects are more visible in the long run period instead after a month.
The container is a tube that twists up to reveal a hole. I don’t really find it comfortable because sometimes, when I twist it up, some of the toner pours out, getting wasted. However, if you’re interested in trying this toner, don’t let that put you off. It also comes in a spritzer container.

For best results use the 3 step system, which I also use daily:
  1. Cleanse & Polish
  2. Instant Boost Skin Toner
  3. Repair Moisturiser

But what about the cost of this product? It depends of what you want. You can get:
30mL spritzer or 50mL bottle for £4.85
200mL spritzer for £ 12.00
200mL bottle for £11.75

Have you ever tried this toner? What do you think about it? Let me know, girls!

Review: LIZ EARLE Cleanse&Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser

About two months ago I received a new cleansing product, the famous and awarded Cleanse&Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser by Liz Earle. I’ve started to try it after two days and I think that I noticed a big difference on my face.

Cleanse&Polish is different from every other cleansers.  It is a soft creamy foam that contains herbal scents and eucalyptus–that’s why it gives us a nice and refreshing feeling.

It is used in conjuction with a muslin cloth (two muslim cloths come with the cleanser) twice a day, morning and evening. The process is in two steps:

1st: Take a few pumps(sometimes one or even a half pump is enough) and massage it directly on to your face.

2nd: Take the muslin cloth, pour warm water all over it and then gently rub it all over your face for a gently exfoliation. Pour cool water all over your face to remove the remaining product.

This product removes oil, grime, grease, make up and everything that is just hanging out on your face.

I notice that since I started to use this cleanser my (oily) face is smoothier, softer and seems really nice and pretty. I got rid of my pimples as well. My skin rarely gets oily- I think my skin found its balance.

As for the bottle I would really like if it’d have a trasparent line so that I could see how much product is left. So I could know when to reorder my cleanser.

You can purchase Cleanse&Polish at www.lizearle.co.uk. There are different bottle sizes that have different prices. I suggest you to buy the Starter Kit that costs £13.25, contains 100ml of cleanser, two muslims and a nice beauty bag.

I use all the three steps of Liz Earle’s daily skin care, so stay tuned for more reviews!!!

Have you ever tried it???Let me know!!!

Kisses girls,

Korina
