September 2011 Loves

Here it is: my monthly favourites list! All the products I loved and used the most last month. It doesn’t mean I bought them last month or that I only used them then, but these are the ones I used more than any other products.

Too Faced Shadow Insurance
In fact, that’s an all year love. I just adore this eye shadow primer. Since I have tried it I can’t change it with another eye shadow base. Absolutely on my must-have list!!!

Korres Nail Colour 06 Pastel Rose
In this period I don’t want coral nails or ”summery” colours nor dark nails. So, this pastel is ideal for me. Elegant and chic, lasts enough for not being worried to have my nails done every two days… Oooh! If you want to read my review, it’s right HERE.

Layla Cosmetics SOS Colour and Shine Nail Polish
I am not a nail polish addict and I didn’t use a special top coat since last year. This one is amazing! It keeps my nail polish perfect for more that a week!!!I will review it as soon as possible.

Essence Maximum Definition volume Mascara
I finished this little love so I am not going to use this on October. I didn;t expected much from this mascara that costed me less than 3€. But it was amazing!!!Long and well separated lashes, volume, and an amazing lasting! What else should a mascara have to become my little love?

Neve Makeup Primavera Eyeshadow
A warm and sweet shade. Even if it is an eyeshadow, you can use it even as a blush. It is one of my first products that I am trying by Neve Makeup, an italian brand of mineral makeup! I will review it as soon as possible, promise!

What were your most used products during September?

Kisses girls!!!

I won a giveaway+DOUBLE REVIEW!

A few weeks ago I won a givaway!Yeaah!!! Julia, the beauty editor of beautyblog.gr, was giving away some cool cosmetics and I was lucky enough to win two of them. You can’t imagine my surprise when I won.

Julia sent me two amazing products that I have already used and loved! Are you curious to see them?

The Estèe Lauder Bronze Goddess Shadow Stick Duo in Pink Teal. It’s from the Summer Collection 2011.
What I love about it:

  • The amazing colors.
  • It’s a 2-in-1 product! I apply it either all over the lid as an eyeshadow or in the lashline as an eyeliner
  • The texture: silky and smooth. Easy to apply and blend. It doesn’t crease
  • The finish: shimmer- metallic without exaggerating.
  • It lasts all day long(tested for 10 hours) and the colors stay true, as if I have just applied them.

The second product that I got is another eyeshadow, this time by Seventeen Cosmetics. It’s the Silky Shadow 203. I have already posted two looks using this shade (click!).
It’s a light blue/ teal color.

I have to admit that I don’t have many Seventeen products anymore. I used to buy them when I was a teenager but suddenly I stopped buying them. This gift made me re-think of getting some Seventeen cosmetics again.
I like:

  • The texture: silky and satin, easy to blend
  • The pigmentation which is so high
  • The color: not excactly a blue nor a teal. Nice combination.
  • The finish: the shimmer is descrete and not heavy at all.
  • The package: even if it costs about €8, the package doesn’t feel or seem cheap! Simple and elegant RULES!

It’s a unique color, perfect for summer. I can think a million looks with this eyeshadow.
P.S.: in the photos it doesn’t seem as a teal but it really has a little bit of green in it. Let’s say it’s a light teal :-q

Review: TOKIDOKI Mozzarella Cromatico Palette

A few months ago I found at Sephora the Tokidoki palettes. As it was the sales season, I got mine with 50% off! I paid it €12. That is the first point: I think that €24 for this product are so much! I wouldn’t buy it if  it wasn’t on sale.

It is a four eyeshadows quad and contains 1.5gr of each one. I got the Mozzarella and the colors are really adorable. There are two browns, a vanilla and a light blue, all shimmery.

The eyeshadows are really pigmented and shimmery! At this point I found the second negative: there is a major glitter fallout! And I mean A LOT!!! The glitters go everywhere in my face and I look like a discoball!!! When I want to use these eyeshadows first I do my eye make up, I clean my face from all these glitters and then I apply my foundation.

You can easily blend the eyeshadows and got the intensity of the color that you want.

The most interesting thing is the packaging of the product! It is decorated with Mozzarella, a Tokidoki character. It also contains a Mozzarella key-charm. Really cute!

I do not recommend this palette… You can save your money and buy something else!  The colors are not so unique; you can find them in better quality.

Do you already have it? How do you find it? And do you buy things only because the packaging is lovely?
