Double Review: The Body Shop Strawberry and Vineyard Peach Body Butters

One of my beauty obsessions is having soft skin. I am lucky enough and my skin feels soft even without any particular treatments, but I always use a body moisturizer once a day.

My favorite ones are The Body Shop Body Butters. Oh Lord! They are so rich, dense and moisturizing. As for their scents, it is certain that you will find at least one to fall in love with.

Lately I am trying the Strawberry and the Vineyard Peach Body Butters. Let’s start with the reviews.

The Strawberry Body Butter has a sweet scent. First time I smelled it I found it delightful, then I thought it has something fake. After three months, I still can’t decide if I like it or not. Sometimes it smells like strawberry to me, but others I think it has a strong chemical scent.
It is designed for normal skin and offers up to 24 hours moisturization. It is a rich and dense cream that gets easily applied and absorbed.
It contains strawberry seed oil, Community Trade shea and cocoa butter, ingredients that offer the long lasting hydration.

The Vineyard Peach Body Butter is a limited edition. Oh girl! Go get it NOW! It has a heavenly scent, just like fresh picked peaches, that lasts all day long. It has a rich, buttery texture, just like all the TBS Body Butters, but it gets easily absorbed. It claims to offer a 24hour hydration and it totally does! It leaves skin super smooth and soft. It does a great work on feet and hard areas, like elbows or knees. I like to apply it every night before going to bed. It gives me joy, makes me dream and relaxes me in seconds.

If I had to choose one of these two body butters, I would definitely go for the Vineyard Peach. One of the best body butters I have ever tried.

The packaging is simple but chic and stylish at the same time. The jar contains 200ml of product and costs €15.

Now I want to try the ones from their Christmas collection. Have you seen them?

Have you ever tried The Body Shop Body Butter? Do you like them? Which scent do you prefer?

I’ ve tried… Chocomania Body Butter

Do you remember the post about Chocomania, the new line by The Body Shop (click!)? Well, last week I had the chance to win on a twitter giveaway and The Body Shop Greece sent me a sample of the Chocomania Body Butter.

I got a sample of 8ml, small quantity but enough to let me understand if the product works for me. The body butter left my skin moisturized, very soft and smooth. It is ideal for dry skin and perfect for those very cold days that your skin needs much more protection.

As for the scent, I didn’t smell like Chocolate to me. It reminded me of Shea Butter but not chocolate at all. Maybe it was me, because other beauty bloggers, like Natalie, do not agree with me. I read comments and reviews of bloggers who insist that the soaps and the lip butter smell much more like chocolate. I haven’t tried them yet, so I can’t tell you for sure.

Concluding, I liked the product a lot, even if it doesn’t smell like choco to me. I would like to try the Shower Cream and the heart-shaped soaps as well. I will let you know when I’ll get them!

Have you tried the Chocomania products yet? Do they smell like chocolate to you?
Please, tell me it’s just me that doesn’t feel the sent…

Review: Sephora Body Lotion

I never forget to use a good body lotion daily after my shower. I love the ones with sweet smells like the Sephora Vanilla and Crème Brulèe Body Lotion. But what if they smell good and they do not hydrate enough my skin? Wanna know if this lotion has passed my test?

I got it a few months ago but since it’s not the only one I am using it took me a while to finish it… It’s nearly over now and that’s why I decided to talk you about this little product.

First of all I can’t ignore the perfume of this body lotion. It is quite strong but so *yummy*! It smells vanilla and creme brulèe or, as my man says, like cookies and cakes! I like when I smell like that! I think it’s quite a girly smell, don’t you thnk?

The body lotion isn’t dense at all. I know it’s a lotion and not a cream, but if it much more fluid than the ones I prefer., at least for me. It’s not greasy and it absorbs fast enough.

I read at the ingredients list that it contains Vitamin E and A which are supposed to be great moisturizers for the skin. Unfortunetely, I am not satisfied about that. The body lotion leaves my skin soft enough but it doesn’t deeply moisturize my skin. Plus, it does nothing when my skin is dry and needs more protection. That’s why I am not going to buy this lotion again.

The lotion comes in a 150ml tube and expires 18months after you first open it. I can’t be sure about the price because it was a gift…sorry. If you know the cost, let me know please!

Have you ever tried this body lotion? Do you like Sephora’s body care products? Which one do you prefer?

Kisses,
Korina
